UVEX – Shining new light on pathogen treatment

Introducing the UVEX, an autonomous electric device that treats plant pathogens such as powdery mildew using UV-C light, reducing (or in some cases replacing) the use of spray chemicals. UVEX offers growers a treatment solution that not only reduces spray chemical usage, but also operates with zero emissions or fossil fuels, zero residuals, zero withholding period, in all weather conditions (rain and wind) and without a driver! UVEX is the result of a collaboration between Agri Automation and Vertex Engineering, two New Zealand companies that have combined to bring this game-changing technology to the market.

Presented by Agri Automation NZ Ltd.

WINEGRID

WINEGRID technology offers innovative and integrated solutions for remote and real time monitoring during the entire winemaking process. The information obtained by the sensors is analyzed and interpreted through advanced algorithms and artificial intelligence (AI) within a computational system. The information is then collected in a digitalized visualisation platform, WINEGRID Dashboard, that allows for a secure and reliable overview of the situation in the winery at any time. WINEGRID allows winemakers to act proactively and easily achieve the desired winemaking goals.

Are replacement vines stealing your vineyards profits?

We will explore the importance of replacement vines in maintaining a healthy and productive vineyard. The challenges of establishing replacement vines and how traditional methods might be impacting profitability. We’ll then dive into the innovative H2Ortigator system, designed to optimise irrigation, nutrition, and protection for young replacement vines. Why can traditional replacement establishment methods be costly? How does H2Ortigator improve vine establishment? Can a precise plant-by-plant approach lead to faster yields and higher profits?

Presented by Brendan Hamilton from H2Ortigator

In-Tank Brix and Stratification Monitoring

The Multi-Sensor-Probe delivers on-line Brix readings and multiple temperature control points from top to bottom of the tank. Remotely accessible on-screen graphics give winemakers instant visualisation of ferment progress and the impact tank mixing actions have on stratification. Ferments can be driven by fermentation kinetics rather than by a single temperature probe and isolated sampling. Issues can be identified before they become problems with customized alarms for problematic Brix and/or temperature trends. Unskilled labour tasks are eliminated while increasing ferment awareness. See eye-opening results from world-first installations at VinWizard client wineries during the recent Californian and Marlborough vintages.

Presented by Bob Richards from Wine Technology International Ltd

Future-proof Your Winery

Future-proofing your winery through production efficiency and the power of data. In a market that continues to shift at an incredible pace, the wine industry needs to remain agile. Wineries everywhere are being held back by double data entry, disconnected systems, unnecessary manual tasks, and a lack of data visibility. The future success of the industry hinges on your winery’s ability to leverage technology to not only become faster, but smarter, too. With the right technology in place, wineries can save enough time to focus on innovation and growth.
